The 26-year-old Blonde Ambition star is happy with her single life after breaking up with singer John Mayer last month, according to her friends. Jessica Simpson recently went out on the town for a girls only night out in Los Angeles to celebrate her single status. Her friends claim she's very "happy" since her break up from John.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "She was telling friends, we were so different, we were fighting so much. I’m really happy to be out of that relationship. This time, it’s totally done." "Jessica is definitely single," said another source close to the actress. Jessica Simpson and John Mayer dated for 9 months before calling it quits for good. They had repeatedly argued and broke up twelve times in the nine month span a source told us.

They called their relationship over after having an heart to heart talk in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Jessica has since ignored John Mayer's concerts in Hollywood, instead choosing to party with friends at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont and Sunset Marquis.

Jessica Simpson took in a Maroon 5 concert in Los Angeles on June 2, perhaps to try and rekindle a romance she shared with lead singer Adam Levine while Jessica was still married to Nick Lachey. A source said, "He kept looking at and singing to his new girlfriend. Nobody paid attention to Jessica. It was sad." C'mon Jess, the guy has a new girlfriend, don't act so desperate, you just became single again. Look at Joss Stone, she hasn't dated in two years.
