Fearing Jessica Simpson's latest movie will be a flop her manager/father Joe Simpson has once again delayed it's release date. We can't blame him as we seen the Blonde Ambition trailer and think the movie stinks.

Blonde Ambition is Jessica Simpson's first leading role with the movie labeled as a remake of the 80s hit film 'Working Girl.'

"The release date, which was set for August 3, has now been delayed until the last week of August. Jessica's father Joe then intervened and said he wasn't comfortable with the level of competition from other films that month," a source told the New York Daily News.

As of now their is no firm release date. Had Blonde Ambition been released as scheduled, it would have went against 'Rush Hour 3' and 'The Bourne Ultimatum' at the box office.

Jessica is scheduled to start filming Major Movie Star this month.

Jessica Simpson to Launch Signature Fragrance Line

Parlux Fragrances Inc. an perfume and beauty products maker said they have signed Jessica Simpson to a global licensing agreement to launch a signature fragrance by the singer and actress. The Jessica Simpson fragrance line will debut in the United States July 2008 and roll out internationally after that.

The perfume maker holds licenses for Paris Hilton fragrances and make perfume for Guess, Ocean Pacific, Maria Sharapova and others. No details on how much Jessica Simpson is being paid to lend her name for the signature fragrance. News of Jessica Simpson fragrance line comes right after she announced her own swimsuit collection to debut this month.

Jessica Simpson who celebrates her 27th birthday on July 10 starts filming Major Movie Star this month.
