Reality Show With Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton?

Michael LohanMichael Lohan and Lindsay Lohan Michael Lohan and his daughter Lindsay Lohan
Michael Lohan, the father of Lindsay Lohan who was just released from prison this week for causing a serious accident while driving drunk and other charges. He has a vision of creating a reality TV show of the three celebrities Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton, along with their fathers, Joe Simpson, Rick Hilton and himself stranded on a deserted island. While mentioning a deserted island, one can't help but to think of Gilligan's Island, but this wouldn't be a spin-off of that popular TV series being reality TV has taken over the networks. Michael Lohan has even drew interest for this reality show from producer Brett Hudson among other TV producers who think it could be a huge success.

"Michael is very creative. You can see where Lindsay got her drive and her talent" said producer Brett Hudson. "He has a few reality shows he wants to pitch including one in which he and Lindsay are put on a desert island with Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and their dads. We'll be going along when he does that." Michael Lohan, who was sentenced to one and one-third to four years in prison has been jailed since June 30, 2005 for multiple charges including attempted assault on his brother-in-law. While Lohan was awaiting sentencing on the assault charge, he drove his car off the road striking a pole while drunk. His car burst into flames. Michael Lohan wasn't hurt. He was then charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle according to court documents. Michael Lohan was released from Collins Correctional Facility near Buffalo, New York on Tuesday, March 13.
While Lindsay Lohan's father was once known as the Hollywood "father from hell" has since changed his ways. Michael Lohan said he attended Bible college through Global University while in prison and became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God Ministry. "I want to help people," he now says. "I don't want them to fall into the same traps I did." Another reality TV show Michael has plans for involves paying strippers and prostitutes so he can council them about their problems. First for Michael will be to repair his damaged relationship with his daughter, Lindsay, age 20. He told Newsday "I'm going to wait, and when she sees I'm walking the walk, I'm hopeful she'll open the door." Lindsay Lohan hasn't spoken to her father in more than a year. Lindsay vented about the pain her father caused in her song "Confessions of a Broken Heart" released last year. We think Michael should stick to the prostitute reality show because what is the chance celebrities Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton would want to do this reality show, much less his own daughter. In a side note, Jessica Simpson is also rumored to be the new X Factor judge for the popular British reality show. Time will tell if that holds true.

There is a serious fact error in this story.

You quote Michael Lohan as saying he has been ordained as an Assemblies of God minister. This is not true.

As a journalist myself and a member of the Assemblies of God, I find it in poor taste that you couldn't make a five minute phone call to confirm this.

As soon as I read the article - I called the Assemblies of God to investigate. While he has an account number with them to order books and could very well be taking courses through Global University, he has not been ordained. He could be attempting to do this, but as of the last 24 hours, he does not hold papers with and he is not licensed by the Assemblies of God.

This is a fact error any way you look at it. As a journalist, I know that just because someone says something, doesn't make it true. You should always double check your sources. I suggest you make the appropriate changes in your article.

Thanks.

So your saying the New York Post, MSNBC, and Newsday.com all have the wrong information about Michael Lohan being a minister with the Assemblies of God Church? Are you sure you're not Lindsay Lohan trying your hardest to prove your father isn't a minister with the Assemblies of God Church or a minister at all? We noticed you posted the above on Newsday also. Why would we need to confirm this when we quoted Michael Lohan as the one who said it?

Write a comment as they are always welcomed by us!
