Michael Lohan and his daughter Lindsay Lohan1499 Views 03.15.2007. 14:24
There is a serious fact error in this story.
You quote Michael Lohan as saying he has been ordained as an Assemblies of God minister. This is not true.
As a journalist myself and a member of the Assemblies of God, I find it in poor taste that you couldn't make a five minute phone call to confirm this.
As soon as I read the article - I called the Assemblies of God to investigate. While he has an account number with them to order books and could very well be taking courses through Global University, he has not been ordained. He could be attempting to do this, but as of the last 24 hours, he does not hold papers with and he is not licensed by the Assemblies of God.
This is a fact error any way you look at it. As a journalist, I know that just because someone says something, doesn't make it true. You should always double check your sources. I suggest you make the appropriate changes in your article.
Thanks.

So your saying the New York Post, MSNBC, and Newsday.com all have the wrong information about Michael Lohan being a minister with the Assemblies of God Church? Are you sure you're not Lindsay Lohan trying your hardest to prove your father isn't a minister with the Assemblies of God Church or a minister at all? We noticed you posted the above on Newsday also. Why would we need to confirm this when we quoted Michael Lohan as the one who said it?
