Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo Breakup, Split, Jessica Dumped

Jessica Simpson didn't get an engagement ring but instead got dumped the night before her 29th birthday. Talk about a horrible time for her boyfriend Tony Romo of the past one and a half to choose for a breakup.

"Jessica Simpson is heartbroken," a source told People Magazine Monday. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways."

Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo only fueled the breakup rumors Friday night when he was spotted without the birthday girl at MyHouse, a Hollywood nightclub. Tony showed up with a group of friends and was seen drinking Grey Goose vodka.

Tony confirmed the breakup with Jessica Simpson without saying a word when he was spotted kissing a unnamed brunette beauty at the club. Saturday Tony was seen poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Since Jessica and Tony just split up the night before and she wasn't in a partying mood, Jessica cancelled her Barbie and Ken themed birthday party Friday. Jessica said she wouldn't have planned a party if she knew this was coming.

On Saturday Jessica was already in a better mood when she twittered, "Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER!" Regarding the split up Jessica shows she still has the faith by saying, "Everyone needs to know that hope floats...grab the strings and pull it back to you."

We talked with Jessica today (Wednesday) and although she's heartbroken (and we're sure the timing didn't help matters any) she has been through breakups before and as in the past will emerge a stronger woman than before.

We're also thinking perhaps timing couldn't be better as ex-husband Nick Lachey just split up with Vanessa Minnillo. How much longer before the rumors start again about Nick and Jessica getting back together? You know they both could use a little moral support from each other. Just a thought!

On the other hand we're sure matchmaker slash daddy slash manager Joe Simpson already is planning Jessica's next love affair and AGAIN I'm left out.

While Jessica Simpson had this Real Girls Eat Meat t-shirt created to slam her boyfriend Tony Romo's ex, Carrie Underwood, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) was offended by the shirt and decided to slam Jessica.

Any organization that not once, but twice has named Carrie Underwood the World's Sexiest Vegetarian could use a healthy dose of meat in their diet. Makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking. We caught up to Jessica and Tony to ask Jess if she had anything to say about PETA's comments. She innocently asked, what's PETA? As a small group laughed and then started cheering FUCK PETA. Ah, I sense a future t-shirt slogan for Jessica.

Jessica Simpson is now rumored to be dating actor Owen Wilson. The 'Major Movie Star' actress and the 'You, Me and Dupree' actor met recently when the two worked together on a Willie Nelson music video last month. Jessica and Owen have been on several dates since but are said to be taking things slow.

The pair were first seen together recently at Santa Monica's Huntley Hotel and then at a New York eatery where there was a lot of flirting going on between the two.

According to a source, "Jessica was touching Owen's arm and flipping her hair. Owen was charming, making Jessica laugh. It looked very much like they were on a date."

The relationship is not yet serious or exclusive says Owen's friends. And it's anybody's guess if their relationship will reach the next stage because, "Owen finds Jessica hilarious, but he's talking to lots of girls," said one of Owen's friends.

Owen was previously linked to Kate Hudson until May while Jessica Simpson split up with John Mayer the same month after having a rocky relationship with the singer. You may also remember Owen Wilson failed suicide attempt last August in which he was hospitalized.
