Irresistible Video by Jessica Simpson

Irresistible was the first single from Jessica's second album and it is well known as the video which first showed her grown-up sexual side. The song was produced by Anders Bagge and A. Brigissan and the video was directed by Simon Brand. Jessica had been in the shadow of other teen pop superstars, partly due to her conservative image. The head of Columbia records, Tommy Mottola, felt that Jessica needed to change her image, lose some weight, and wear clothes that showed off her body. The result of this change was the Irresistible video.

The video has a futuristic feel, in which Jessica appears to be acting as some sort of spy. It has been compared to Mariah Carey's video, Honey, which has a similar feel. The dance moves in this video are contemporary and show a lot more sex appeal than her earlier choreography. A second video for the remix of the song was also shot. The video features Lil' Bow Wow, but he is never shown with Jessica because they filmed their parts separately. Although this video is seen as one which helped push Jessica out of the shadows and into the spotlight, it is rumored that she is not fond of it. In addition, some of her fans felt that she had strayed too far from her original style.
