Jessica Simpson appeared July 19th to unveil her video, "A Public Affair" on MTV's "Making The Video".
The video is directed by Brett Ratner (X-Men) and features some of Jessica's friends
including Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate and Ryan Seacrest.

A Public Affair is the title track of Jessica Simpson's latest album. The song received critical praise, although some noted its similarity to Madonna's song Holiday. The video is also said to be similar to Madonna's Sorry video, although there is no evidence to suggest that this was done intentionally. The video was filmed in late June of 2006. It takes place in a skating rink, which is actually the Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale, California. It was directed by Brett Ratner, who also worked with Jessica on her These Boots are Made for Walkin' video.
This video is packed with celebrity cameos, which adds to the high energy of the piece. Andy Dick, Ryan Seacrest, Christina Milian and Eva Longoria are just a few of the celebrities who make an appearance. Reshad Strik, an Australian actor, appears as Jessica's love interest. His appearance in the video garnered a lot of attention due to his resemblance to Jessica's ex-husband, Nick Lachey. The video premiered on July 19th on MTV's Total Request Live. On July 20th, it was number six on the countdown and it went as high as the number two spot. It also was successful on the Canadian video charts, where it hit number eight on the MuchMusic countdown.
