The music video for "I Wanna Love You Forever" sets an innocent tone for Simpson's debut video. The video is built around a photo shoot of Jessica, beginning with poses in front of a red biplane. The photography session takes place inside the hangar as the photographer takes numerous shots of Jessica singing by the plane.

The platinum single continues to the chorus as the background changes to a field of sunflowers. Simpson poses as the photographer continues to snap shots in front of the various backgrounds, including a southwestern desert scene. The video also features some candid footage of Jessica and her friends on the video set.

Simpson's debut music video ends as stage hands push away the sunflower field background screen revealing a classy runway stage. Jessica continues singing the final chorus on this stage while the bright, blue stage lights brighten the room. The video was directed by Bille Woodruff.
